E’ giunta al termine la kermesse cinematografica degli Academy Awards 2012 a Hollywood. La regina incontrastata è lei, Maryl Streep, che vince la terza statuetta della sua sua carriera, come miglior attrice per il suo ruolo di Margaret Thatcher in “The Iron Lady“.
Deluso invece George Clooney che torna a casa a mani vuote, stravince “The Artist” che si aggiudica 5 statuette su 10 nominations.
